Meet The Employee: Tucker Smith

Wpromote

Welcome to the eighteenth installment of our employee spotlight! Today you’ll get to meet one of our Senior Digital Marketing Specialists over in the Dallas office: Tucker Smith!

Q: What is your favorite work event?
A: Probably the Standing Dog (RIP) 10-year anniversary party. It was dress to the nines. Also, it was one of the few times I was able to twerk in a suit and not rip my pants.

Q: Who is your favorite coworker and why?
A: I am not putting myself in this awkward situation, Brian.

Q: When were you hired? What was your starting position?
A: I was hired in August of 2014 as a social media intern, and for some reason they still liked me enough to offer me a full-time position after I graduated the following December.

Q: Do you have a morning mantra/routine? What is it?
A: Wake up in the morning and ask myself if I really need to get out of bed, then remind myself that if Britney Spears can get through 2007, I can get through the day.

Q: What’s your favorite book or movie – why?
A: I’m a huge comic book nerd, so I read a few comics every week and I also love watching all of the superhero shows that are out right now. I even got to meet Stephen Amell, who plays the Green Arrow, at Comic Con.

Q: What’s your go-to Dallas/Houston activity?
A: Biking or running around White Rock Lake or downtown Dallas, but I also go on a lot of short road trips to state parks to hike.

Q: What’s your perfect Sunday-Funday?
A: Early morning workouts followed by completely negating the exercise with brunch. Then trying out a new coffee shop or local brewery with my friends.

Q: What is your theme song (for your life) and why?
A: “Let Me Take A Selfie” by The Chainsmokers. Have you seen my selfie game? See my top Tinder photo:

Q: If you weren’t doing digital marketing, what would you be doing and why?
A: Is being a superhero an option? I think I would make a great superhero. I’ve been known to rock spandex a time or two, plus a little whiskey makes me believe I can fly or stop moving cars. My hospital bills beg to differ.

Q: What’s the weirdest thing on your desk and what is its significance?
A: Multiple superhero-themed coffee cups, because if you’re gunna save the world, you have to be awake for it.
