You Will Be

  • Redesigning, launching, leading and scaling a Performance Creative service channel
  • Defining our Performance Creative service offering for Paid Social, Programmatic, YouTube, Amazon, Content & Email marketing clients, including pricing, service deliverables, department processes and operations, and partnership structure with Wpromote teams and external ad platforms.
  • Responsible for Performance Creative PnL, managing four Directors in different offices with a team of 10+ creative designers, videographers and producers, to improve paid and content media channel performance and hit department revenue & margin goals.
  • Developing innovative performance-centric creative campaigns for clients, adapting their brand identity and guidelines into audience-specific messaging aligned with channel best practices. 
  • Generating buy-in on concepts and briefs to sell in performance creative retainers and projects to develop large static and video asset libraries media buyers can use for testing and generating stronger channel performance.
  • Ensuring Performance Creative Designers and Media Buyers maintain a close and productive working relationship where designers proactively report on creative insights, and recommend new concepts and iterations upon existing assets to achieve client KPIs.
  • Ensuring videographers and designers work together to turn creative concepts into static and video assets that fit agreed-upon client brand guidelines while adhering to performance creative best practices.
  • Evaluating whether to rent studio space or to build an in-house creative studio so Wpromote can quickly film turn around static and video creative at low operational cost.
  • Conceptualizing creative strategy for new business prospects and articulating the value of the service offering to sell in new clients. 
  • Evolving our new business value proposition based on testing in the client portfolio, partnering with sales and account management to advance a pipeline of new business and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Managing a team of videographers & designers, 3P tech partnerships (i.e. Social native & VidMob, Facebook), and creative strategists fulfilling existing creative retainers.
  • Managing and monitoring the Performance Creative department P&Ls to achieve company financial goals
  • Overseeing creative production timelines to ensure we are meeting client deliverables
  • Responsible for growing the Performance Creative team by interviewing prospective employees
  • Expanding the service offering beyond Paid Social to Programmatic, YouTube, Display and Amazon services
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our Performance Creative service through in-house automation solutions or third-party platforms
  • Monitoring and tracking the overall client growth for the portfolio utilizing Performance Creative and defining best practices
  • Developing training for onboarding new designers & videographers
  • Maintaining top Performance Creative client relationships with semi-regular leadership check-ins 

You Must Have

  • At least 3+ years of experience managing end to end creative production for video and static assets designed for digital advertising - from brand discovery and ideation through developing creative briefs to managing redesigns to deployment and post-deployment performance analysis and client recommendations
  • At least 2+ years managing junior designers and videographers throughout the full ideation, production and editing process
  • At least 2+ years owning and managing client relationships to meet creative deliverables
  • Experience working directly with Social media managers at a digital agency to analyze performance data and determine which assets to scale, which iterate additional versions upon and which to stop investing in.
  • Experience training, developing and managing creative talent to improve their pace of delivery, sense of autonomy and ownership of meeting client deliverables and understanding of paid media platforms and performance analysis
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to lead a department within an agency and leverage the tools and resources available to increase Performance Creative coverage across the Paid Media client portfolio
  • Strong client-facing communication skills for in-person pitches and existing client cross-sells. 
  • A track record of pitching and closing new business, cross-selling existing business and convincing existing clients of the benefits of ceding aspects of brand guidelines in favor of performance creative ad formats and messaging tactics
  • The ability to craft department priorities and roadmap, holding the team, remote employees, freelancers and 3P tech/partnership providers accountable to deadlines and deliverables necessary to achieve company goals
  • The ability to step in and do hands-on design, videography or editing work in the event that one of your direct reports cannot fulfill a deliverable due to unexpected circumstances
  • Relationships with talent, colleagues, vendors, and external network that will empower you to hit the ground running are a plus
