The Role

Wpromote is looking for a strong Dallas-based word person to become the next member of our growing content team. Our senior content writer will be responsible for creating informative, engaging, accurate and client-centric B2B and B2C copy for websites, blogs, infographics, emails, e-books and other digital and written collateral for clients including Marriott, Greystar, Capital Senior Living, Vacations by Marriott and several smaller challenger brands in the sales, marketing, pet, financial and accounting verticals. Under the general supervision of an associate content editor, the senior content writer will have strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of SEO best practices. This role is 100% writing, sometimes on tight deadlines, and may include client-facing responsibilities.

You Will Be

  • Creating original content for websites, blogs, infographics, emails and e-books for a portfolio of clients as the lead writer  
  • Brainstorming content ideas for other clients based on need
  • Self-managing internal deadlines for all projects

You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience copywriting for an agency, corporate marketing/branding team or newspaper/website
  • Strong understanding of how to write for the web with communication skills effective for various audiences
  • Strong understanding of website usability and web best practices
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail and a style that maximizes web content usability and accessibility
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects
  • Strong grammatical and writing skills, with solid knowledge of AP style
  • Strong ability to stay organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to write creative, concise, smart and SEO-friendly copy
  • Ability to adapt writing style to an established brand voice
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Proficiency with Macs using Google Mail, Sheets, G Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel
