The Role

We are searching for an Associate Director of Earned Media Strategy to work on a key enterprise client. This role requires experience in Holistic Search Strategy across Organic Search and Paid Search. If you have a passion for both strategy and tactical experience in SEO and Content Strategy, this could be a great match for expanding your critical thinking and problem-solving experience in a cross-channel marketing role. This role will focus on performance marketing KPIs, client retention, and ideating and deploying creative Holistic Search solutions.

You Will:

  • Serve as executive leadership on a key Enterprise account and be accountable for client success 
  • Spearhead planning and strategy sessions with clients to understand KPIs, business goals and marketing goals
  • Drive the development of cross-channel media strategies across Paid Search, SEO and Content Strategy inclusive of media mix, budget allocation, on-site strategy, audience architecture, creative strategy, KPI development and measurement frameworks
  • Collaborate with Paid Media Channel owners for strategic alignment and tactical co-activations 
  • Focus on owning Page 1 for key brand and non-brand search terms through a holistic approach to search  
  • Own Earned Media projections for prospective and existing clients and consult on unique reporting solutions
  • Partner with Channel teams to ensure all digital channels are prioritizing goal-oriented tactics, proactively measuring return on investment/effort, and pivoting when needed
  • Lead campaign kick offs and create/review/approve campaign briefs prior to kick-off
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering to develop critical applications and automations to serve both internal and external processes
  • Report to Director of Earned Media Strategy and other upper executives on key client service pillars: same-store growth, retention, new business, and partnerships

You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in SEO, Content Marketing and/or Content Strategy
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Paid Search and/or Paid Media Strategy
  • Strong knowledge of audience targeting and customer-focused marketing Experience managing a fully-integrated digital campaign utilizing cross-channel insights
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong boardroom presence and ability to communicate with C-suite executives on the client-side to thoughtfully explain strategy, purpose and results
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns that drive high ROI
  • Strong understanding of how web experiences (e.g., desktop sites, mobile sites, mobile apps) fit into holistic marketing strategies
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in advanced measurement and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Big Query, etc.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, investment plans, and forecasting through decision-making and associated tools including Excel and Google Spreadsheets
  • The ability to use consumer insights data, customer journey maps, organic performance, and key trends to inform the development of strategies and plans
  • Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and respond to situations rapidly
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; including strong presentation skills
