The Role

As an Associate Director of Performance Creative, you are a storyteller, a strategist, and passionate to push creative boundaries – you pair performance data with brand guidelines to build best-in-class creative campaigns across paid channels. You have a keen curiosity and drive to explore emerging digital channels, mediums, and creative technology to help build this fast-growing department.

You Will Be

  • Responsible for a book of business, overseeing a team of Creative Leads, Graphic and Motion Designers, and Editors to improve paid media channel performance through best-in-class creative. 
  • Developing creative concepts, marketing messaging, and objectives based on client brand identity, target audiences, and paid media performance data and goals 
  • Identifying opportunities for video productions and working with the production team to get client buy-in. 
  • Creating decks, pitch docs, scripts, budgets, and production schedules to produce ads for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Amazon, and Programmatic Video & Display 
  • Developing innovative performance-centric creative campaigns for clients, adapting their brand identity and guidelines into audience-specific messaging aligned with channel best practices 
  • Generating buy-in on concepts and briefs to sell in performance creative retainers and projects to develop high-quality video and static assets that media buyers can use for testing and generating stronger channel performance 
  • Partnering with Client Services and Media teams to proactively report on creative insights, and recommend new concepts and iterations upon existing assets to achieve client KPIs 
  • Working with videographers, designers, and editors to turn creative concepts into static and video assets that fit agreed-upon client brand guidelines while adhering to performance creative best practices 
  • Overseeing creative production timelines for your clients to ensure we are meeting client deliverables 
  • Supporting a growing Performance Creative team by interviewing candidates 
  • Assisting the Head of Performance Creative by Identifying opportunities to improve our Performance Creative service through automation solutions or third-party platforms 
  • Bringing insights from across the broader creative portfolio to your book of business to improve performance for your clients 
  • Providing training to onboard new designers, videographers, and editors 

You Must Have

  • 3+ years of experience working for a marketing or advertising agency, brand or internal marketing team 
  • At least 1 year owning and managing client relationships to meet creative deliverables 
  • At least 6 months working closely with junior designers and videographers throughout the full ideation, production and editing process 
  • Experience working directly with media managers at a digital agency to analyze performance data and determine which assets to scale, which iterate additional versions upon and which to stop investing in 
  • Experience training, developing and managing creative talent to improve their pace of delivery, sense of autonomy and ownership of meeting client deliverables and understanding of paid media platforms and performance analysis 
  • Strong client-facing communication skills for in-person pitches and existing client cross-sells. 
  • The ability to step in and do hands-on design, videography or editing work in the event that one of your direct reports cannot fulfill a deliverable due to unexpected circumstances
