The Role

Wpromote is looking for an IT Security Analyst to ramp up our security needs. As a Security Analyst, you will be working with our security vendors to establish SOC 2 compliance and continue to mature our CIS CSC controls. You will be creating scalable security and data protection processes alongside our IT Operations and Infrastructure team. This role will be involved in all security evaluations performed by potential and existing clients. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience working through SOC 2 audits, penetration test remediations, and security program assessments. They have worked in an environment where the internal application infrastructure is cloud-based but SaaS platforms for client-facing software that is owned by the client. If you have a background in security auditing and documentation based on security standards, this could be a good opportunity.

You Will Be

  • Working alongside security consulting vendors for SOC 2 compliance, penetration tests, and CIS CSC controls 
  • Processing potential and current client security evaluations 
  • Auditing processes and policies to ensure they’re up to date for security compliance requirements 
  • Proposing processes, best practices, and policies dealing with the company’s security
  • Managing our vulnerability management solution and security awareness training platform
  • Implementing solutions that will prevent data loss, breaches, and service interruptions
  • Researching upcoming data privacy and security regulations to evaluate changes we need to make

You Must Have

  • 3-4 years of cybersecurity and data privacy experience
  • Worked alongside security vendors performing SOC 2 audits and pen test remediation
  • Audited processes and policies to coincide with CIS CSC controls/SOC 2 compliance
  • Experience working with AWS Security Hub and GCP Command Center
  • Experience with securing Google Workspace
  • Experience remediating vulnerabilities through a vulnerability management system (ex. Rapid 7)
  • Strong understanding of securing Mac operating systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate as a team
  • Security certifications a plus
