The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Creative Director (ECD) to lead and develop our dynamic, passionate, and innovative team of creatives at Wpromote. You will lead the charge in shaping and executing the strategic creative vision for our high-profile clients. Some of our notable clients include Peacock, Spanx, Vuori, Intuit QuickBooks, and TransUnion.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $250,000 – $295,000, based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and the respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. At Wpromote, pay ranges are subject to change and are based on specific market medians for similar jobs according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary due to skills, experience, and available budget.  The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.

This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus.

*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

**While this role offers the flexibility to work remotely, preference will be given to candidates based in Los Angeles.

You Will Be

  • Leading the creative vision and execution of comprehensive strategies that align with client goals and drive measurable business growth
  • Directing and collaborating with clients, other departments, and new-business teams to support business development through concepting and pitching creative solutions that exceed client expectations and achieve measurable results
  • Supporting the team in planning and executing visionary creative strategies that align with long-term goals, translating brand visions into high-impact campaigns that drive cultural relevance and community engagement
  • Leading the creation of innovative, high-impact, big idea campaigns as well as short-form video content and other emerging platforms that are both creative, compelling, and meet key performance indicators and client objectives
  • Mentoring and managing a diverse team of art directors, designers, motion graphic designers, creative strategists, and producers by fostering a collaborative, innovative environment that promotes professional growth and creativity
  • Collaborating with senior business unit leaders to shape growth strategies for creative offerings. 
  • The primary creative point of contact for key clients, present creative concepts, incorporate feedback, and build strong, long-term relationships
  • Partnering with other departments (earned and paid media, media planning, strategy, and technology, etc), to ensure integrated and cohesive campaign execution that align creative initiatives with broader marketing and business strategies
  • Leading in-house creative and brand strategy in partnership with Wpromote Marketing brand and design teams
  • Partnering with the product team to innovate and productize proprietary creative measurement solutions
  • Overseeing the creative process to ensure all deliverables meet agency standards of excellence. This includes implementing best practices for consistency, creativity, and effectiveness across all projects
  • Championing a culture of curiosity and innovation by staying ahead of industry trends, integrating emerging technologies like Generative AI, and continuously adapting to the evolving marketing landscape 
  • Managing the creative department’s P&L, ensuring projects are delivered within budgetary constraints while maintaining high-quality outcomes

You Must Have

  • 12-15+ years experience as a creative leader preferably in a competitive media and digital marketing agency setting, with a mix of large and growth-oriented brands
  • A proven track record in overseeing the development of omnichannel creative work
  • A strong and diverse portfolio demonstrating expertise in creative strategy, brand management, and developing measurable, results-driven campaigns (include link in resume with pw if required)
  • A proven track record of recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing, growth-minded, remote-first creative and design department
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A high EQ, a positive mindset and a passion for creative
  • Deep understanding of digital, brand, and media strategies, as well as creative development processes
  • Awareness of current industry trends and emerging technologies that leverage data and insights for unique opportunities
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, focusing on delivering high-quality, growth-oriented creative solutions
  • A track record of pitching and closing new business, through well-designed presentation decks
  • Experience with P&L management
