The Role

We are searching for an Associate Director of Earned Media Strategy to work on a key enterprise streaming client. This role requires experience in Organic Search, Content Strategy, Affiliate Marketing, and App Store Optimization. If you have a passion for developing data-driven objectives and tactical experience with creating innovative cross-channel content strategies, this could be a great match for expanding your critical thinking and problem-solving experience in a holistic marketing strategy role. This role will focus on performance marketing KPIs, client retention, and the ideation and deployment of creative Earned Media solutions.

You Will Be:

  • Analyze content and user data to inform how Content Strategy efforts impact business goals, uncover growth and development opportunities for campaign planning, and guide strategy
  • Focus on owning brand and non-brand visibility in search engine and app store result pages through a holistic approach to search
  • Uncover creative solutions for App Store Optimization, including creating testing frameworks and leveraging new Apple and Android App marketing capabilities
  • Partner with Content Development and Growth Marketing teams to identify business problems and develop solutions that lead to improved campaigns, acquisition, engagement and retention efforts
  • Drive the development of cross-channel strategies across SEO, App Stores (Apple & Android), Affiliate & Partnership Networks, and Content Strategy
  • Collaborate with Paid Media Channel owners for strategic alignment and tactical co-activations
  • Partner with Channel teams to ensure all digital channels are prioritizing goal-oriented tactics, proactively measuring return on investment/effort and pivoting when needed
  • Lead campaign kick offs and create/review/approve campaign briefs prior to kick-off
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering to develop critical applications and automations to serve both internal and external processes
  • Report to Director of Earned Media Strategy and other upper executives on key client service pillars: same-store growth, retention, new business and partnerships

You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Digital Marketing with emphasis on conducting data analysis and providing strategic recommendations to support content-centric marketing initiatives 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEO or Organic Search Strategy 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in App Store Strategy and/or Optimization 
  • Strong knowledge of streaming service apps and experience with SVOD and AVOD ecosystems
  • Strong knowledge of Sponsored Content and Partner Content strategies 
  • Experience managing a fully-integrated digital campaign utilizing cross-channel insights
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong boardroom presence and ability to communicate with C-suite executives on the client-side to thoughtfully explain strategy, purpose and results
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns that drive high ROI
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in advanced measurement and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Big Query, etc.
  • Ability to tell a story with data both verbally and visually
  • Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and respond to situations rapidly
