Welcome to the second installment of our employee spotlight! We’d like to take a minute and introduce you to Louisa Frahm, an SEO Manager here at Wpromote.

Q: What do you look forward to most on Monday?

A: Though it sounds insanely cheesy, I truly love Mondays because I know that I will encounter smiling faces when I come to work. It is WAY easier to get up in the morning when you know you’re going to encounter people who are driven, helpful, and enthusiastic in the workplace. Seeing my coworkers in a good mood, I can’t help but be in a good mood.

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment at Wpromote?

A: I had very minimal experience in SEO when I started with the company. I was green as can be and excited to learn! Within the span of a year and a half, my SEO skill set has grown leaps and bounds. This past April, I became an SEO manager, which has been a very fulfilling role. My biggest accomplishment at Wpromote is my ascension up the SEO ranks!

Q: What is your biggest challenge at Wpromote?

A: I came into Wpromote with limited technical knowledge of SEO. My biggest day-to-day challenge is the continuous game of catch up. It’s tricky to master all of the technical ins and outs of SEO, as there’s so much to learn and the field is constantly changing. That being said, my coworkers inspire me to take charge of the knowledge I do have. My mentors in the department push me to be the best manager I can be, even though I’m still a rookie in the SEO game. I’m very thankful for the consistent encouragement and guidance!

Q: What is your favorite Wpromote memory?

A: My favorite Wpromote memory is the entirety of my first day at the company. Before I worked for Wpromote, I was in a dark place career wise, convinced that all work louisa1 copy copyenvironments must be negative. My first day at Wpromote felt like going to Disneyland. Surrounded by uplifting vibes, I finally felt at home. I wasn’t the weird positive girl in the office anymore. Positivity was now the norm! I made a handful of new friends that first day and realized that I could really build a name for myself at the company. It felt like the start of my true working professional life. Whenever I feel overwhelmed with work, I try to reflect back on that first day and remember why I love Wpromote. With that positive memory in mind, I can tackle whatever challenges the day throws my way!

Q: What is your spirit animal and why?

A: My spirit animal is the corgi. I am a “big dog” with short legs. I am lovably awkward and uncoordinated. I am a crowd pleaser. It’s really tough to shut me up sometimes. No matter what challenges life puts in front of me, I give 100% effort, regardless of physical limitations. I am loyal and dependable. Spirited and energetic, I enjoy physical exercise, but eating is my favorite activity. Strong willed and confident, I require companions who can take charge. I can get along with people of all ages, but I have a special connection with kids. My natural makeup is a smile.

Q: Do you have a morning mantra/routine? What is it?

A: “Positive minds live positive lives.” Positivity is everything in my book. It’s easy to wear a smile when everything is going right. It’s much harder to keep a sunny disposition when negative circumstances creep in. In dealing with serious drama early on in my life, I chose to combat negativity with positivity. Positivity holds strong as my coping mechanism to this day. I wake up each day and I think of the GOOD, no matter what else might be going on. If you start each day with gratitude and positive vibes, you can set the momentum for success to happen.

Q: What’s your favorite book?

A: I have many favorites, but my top pick is probably “The Great Gatsby.” I read it for the first time in middle school and fell in love with Fitzgerald’s milky smooth way with words. So many of the themes that he covered (the disintegration of the American dream, the dark side of the upper class, etc.) are still relevant today, which is a true testament to the power of the book. Being an old soul, I’d love to go back in time, put on a fabulous 1920s gown, and drink mint juleps with Daisy Buchanan and Jay Gatsby!

Q: What’s your go-to LA activity?

A: Eating tacos is my go-to LA activity. In particular, eating tacos at Taco Zone in Silverlake at 1 AM after a fun night on the town is my favorite LA activity!

Q: What’s your perfect Sunday-Funday?

A: Sleep in until 10 am, pick up a lox and bagel sandwich at The Bagel Broker, hike the full loop at Runyon Canyon, meet Doug the Pug at RC/have an impromptu photo shoot, stumble upon a million dollars, enjoy a Target shopping spree, hit up Katsuya with friends, take a hot bath at home, fall asleep to Family Guy!

Q: If you could trade jobs with someone at Wpromote, who would you choose and why?

A: I would like to live a day in Michael Block’s shoes because he always seems to have a hand in everything! He runs about from department to department doing everything he can to make everyone happy. I’m a total people pleaser. I would love to get in his element and see how all of the interlocking requirements of his position work together to keep Wpromote running smoothly.
