Welcome to the seventeenth installment of our employee spotlight. Today we’ll be introducing you to one of our Senior Digital Marketing Managers in our Dallas office: Shannon Hines!
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment at work?
A: Getting to know my current account so well. I’m now the most tenured person on the Greystar account, and I love having such a full knowledge and deep relationship with the client.
Q: When were you hired? What was your starting position?
A: I was hired February of 2015 as a Client Services Manager.
Q: Do you have a morning mantra/routine? What is it?
A: Every morning I eat a cinnamon raisin English muffin with vegan butter (I’m not vegan…I just really like the taste), and watch a bit of NBC’s Today Show. My morning routine also tends to include me yelling “I’m running late!” at some point in time.
Q: What’s your favorite book or movie – why?
A: Harry Potter…does that need an explanation?
Q: What’s your go-to Dallas/Houston activity?
A: Probably drinking at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden every fall. Most people don’t know it’s BYOB and they get really jealous when they see us break out the growlers.
Q: Do you have a hidden talent/secret power? What is it?
A: I’m really good at remembering names. I can walk into a room of 30 people and everyone tell me their name once and I’ll remember it forever.
Q: What’s the weirdest thing on your desk and what is its significance?
A: Is it weird to have a bunch of cat figurines on your desk?
Q: What do you do outside of work that may surprise people – and why?
A: It’s not really a surprise to those who know me, but I teach Krav Maga and compete in amateur boxing. I love a really intense workout, and knowing I can defend myself is just an added bonus.
