Wprovide strives to enhance the lives of Wpromote employees by connecting them to important charitable organizations through a variety of activities. In the past, we have made cards for patients at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, participated in charitable walks, and had local groups give presentations on pressing issues, among other things. Through this online channel, we hope to showcase our charitable efforts and promote organizations that are making a difference in and outside of our Los Angeles community. Stay tuned!
Heal the Bay is an environmental nonprofit organization founded in 1985. Their mission is to make the coastal waters and watersheds of Southern California safe, healthy, and clean. Every summer Wpromote employees join the effort by spending an afternoon cleaning the beaches of El Porto in Manhattan Beach. The beach cleanup is always a huge success for Wprovide, Wpromote’s philanthropic initiative.
Soroptimist is an international organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls around the world. On the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, in which people gather to pray for loved ones who have died, the organization held a beer and wine tasting event called "Savor the Flavor." Wpromote sponsored the beer mugs for the event and raised $6,000. All proceeds were donated to a woman’s shelter in Rosarito, Mexico.
In 2007, Wpromote began supporting Kiva, a microfinancing nonprofit that empowers people through $25 loans. To date, Wpromote employees have provided 64 loans to people around the world to help them rise out of poverty.
For four years, Wpromote employees have taken time out of their Saturdays to help put together care packages for troops around the world as part of Operation Gratitude, an organization that seeks to lift soldier morale by sending them letters and goods. Thus far, the organization has sent 1,000,000+ packages across the globe.
