Website Development Process
The Process
Website Development is an exciting, collaborative process involving many players and various stages. To simplify the process, we have broken down our approach to Website Development into three phases. Though we modify our process based on the unique needs of our clients, the following phases outline our overall approach.
Research & Planning
As your partner, it’s important that we deeply understand both the business goals and technical requirements of your vision. Together we develop a list of project requirements and a detailed project plan. A well thought out and detailed plan ensures on time and on budget delivery. During this phase we will also discuss how the content and information for your website will be structured, how it will be laid out and how it will be navigable. We will work with you to develop a website architecture and wireframes that suit your needs.
Design & Prototyping
Wpromote will ask you to complete a comprehensive design questionnaire and join us for a design kickoff meeting to review it and discuss additional details before beginning the design phase. Our creative team synthesizes the wireframes and design questionnaire and presents you with concepts for suggested look and feel for your website. Once designs have been finalized for the home and interior pages, Wpromote will chop them up into HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash -- prototype web pages.
Production
After prototyping, the backend coding and development begins. Wpromote’s engineers are the best in the business. We don’t ask you to write any software (that’s our job), but you are involved in reviewing and approving our work during the engineering phase. Upon completion, Wpromote will provide you with training sessions to make sure you are able to manage you new system easily and effectively.
