Viral Video Friday

This week we have more piano playing, a video against a major corporation, videos supporting company products, and a special bonus video that will make you…sweat.

Chatroulette Piano Ode to Merton

Ben Folds pays tribute to a star from last week’s Viral Video Friday.

Don’t eat and watch this video.

Opera Mini 5 on the iPhone

This is a viral video for an unreleased iPhone app.  They’re closing in on 500,000 views and I’m sure there will be a plethora of downloads once this app becomes available.

The Story of Bottled Water

Bottled or tap water?  The $.99 cent question. (

Content-Aware Fill (Sneak Peak)

If you use Photoshop, I’m guessing you’ll think this is pretty cool.

That Ben Folds video is awesome.

I wish part of my job was to look at funny Chatroulette videos. Actually – Chatroulette scares me, so maybe not…

There are so many better options than safari and I anxiously wait for the day to be able to use them. While I wait I’d at least like to thank the good people at opera for pushing the limits of what we expect and want from a mobile browser!

I love the anti-bottled water video and honestly believe that, aside from diamonds, it’s one of the most amoral, disingenuous industries around. Nobody should buy bottled water unless they absolutely have to. That said, I hate it when people use stats that don’t been anything. Here are a few examples from the video:

“…takes enough oil and energy to fuel a million cars.” What does this mean? To fill up a million cars once? To fuel them for a month? A year? Why not just give the number of equivalent gallons. We can do the math.

“…tap water is underfunded by $24 billion.” Umm… what? What does that mean? How can you get that number? I have tap water, so isn’t that 100% funded? What would the extra $24 get us? I’m not saying that the video is wrong or lying; it just seems that this is an extremely ambiguous number.

Love that someone is taking on the lies of the bottled water industry; not so psyched that they are using some dubious stats in order to do it…

Our society started going down hill when we started using bottled water and bike lanes. Get a car and fill up at the rest area drinking fountain, you hippies.
